Overview

The St. Louis Scott Gallagher Precision Training Program (PTP) provides an exciting new opportunity to become a better soccer player and teammate for those in the SLSG family. Individuals and small groups can sign up for five sessions spanning an hour a piece that focus specifically on the needs of those registered.

With there being no set curriculum, coaches will be contacted by PTP Director Chris Hamburger in order to gather information about the player(s) to use when assessing the player(s) qualities and eventually in diagramming sessions. Sessions will all be created digitally and available for participant review at each session. The thought process behind the sessions will be to find ways to challenge players to better themselves through repetition at high levels of game-like speed.

Hamburger comes to SLSG after years of both on-field and coaching experience. Hamburger is a former member of the United States Region 2 Olympic Development Program team, former Gatorade Player of the Year (2002) in his home state of Nebraska, a four-time all-Missouri Valley Conference, two-time NSCAA All-Midwest Region player and two year captain at Drake University, captain of the 2005 Premier Development League Champion Des Moines Menace, team member of PDL runner-up Chicago Fire Reserves (2003) and was a Supplemental Draft pick of the Kansas City Wizards (2006). Hamburger has coached for the Des Moines Menace youth soccer club in Des Moines, IA and Capital Soccer Association in Lincoln, NE over the past 10 years.

Whether a player needs a bit of work with crossing, passing down field, receiving the ball in tight areas, defending, dribbling or even just needing to brush up on various aspects of the game, there’s a training program waiting to be created just for you.
